If you’re planning to relocate to Texas, you’ve made a fantastic choice. Few states are going to even come close to offering as much variety as the Lonestar State. That means one thing, there’s sure to be a place in Texas for everyone. If you just want to head to Texas but aren’t sure where yet, here’s a few ideas of cities you might love living in.
Amarillo
If you are curious about city life, but not looking to get too far away from nature, Amarillo might be the perfect middle ground for you to live in. You won’t be far from amazing hiking and bird watching in Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyon and you’ll also be in proximity to one of the largest museums in Texas, the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum where you can find exhibits on geology, history, and more. Amarillo’s low unemployment rate is worth remembering, at under 5% that means you can move there without the worry of not finding work for yourself. You might not find the corporate skyline you’d see elsewhere in Texas, but for some, that’s exactly how they’d want it.
Arlington
Two great things to know about a city you are considering is that it’s both growing and affordable. It’s great to say that Arlington is both of those. Pair those benefits with its convenience to both Fort Worth and Dallas and it’s easy to see what’s drawing commuters who work in either city. Don’t think there aren’t jobs there though, there is a boom economy right within the city’s limits.
Don’t forget there’s great fun to be had in the area, like Six Flags Over Texas or catching a Cowboys game or rodeo at AT&T Stadium. There’s also a growing music scene with two great venues, Arlington Music Hall and Levitt Pavilion. I’d recommend checking both of their websites regularly so you never miss a concert you might’ve loved.
And with just these few reasons here, it’s clear to see why everyone is flocking to all Arlington has to offer. Thankfully there’s plenty of Arlington apartments around so you are sure to find a great place of your own within this wonderful city. Read More About: wmt24
Houston
As it is another popular city in Texas, there is plenty going on in Houston. It’s also known for its affordable housing, like Arlington. Here you’ll find the typical Texas fare throughout it’s over 11 thousand restaurants. If classic Texas BBQ is what you’re after, you are sure to find plenty of options. There are also numerous international options so be sure to check those out when taking breaks from the amazing BBQ.
If you are someone who wants the city life but will need a break from it, you’ll be near both the Buffalo Bayou, which is great to either walk or bike along, and George Bush Park which is the major nature reserve in the area. Within George Bush Park you’ll find walking trails, shooting ranges, and playgrounds.
