The adaptation of the play of the same name, by George Bernard Shaw, with Vivienne Leigh and Claude Rains. The film is known for its chaotic production, in the midst of World War II. The director Gabriel Pascal in particular demanded that sand from Egypt be brought on the set so that it is of the right color.
