Tadalafil is the generic name for Phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors of PDE-5 inhibitors. Cialis and Adcirca are the two brand names under which Tadalafil is sold. Cialis is used to treat erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Adcirca is used to treat high blood pressure in the lungs, a condition called pulmonary arterial hypertension. Tadalafil Cialis increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, thereby improving erection. Tadalafil acts by inhibiting the activity of PDE-5, which directly increases cGMP levels in the corpus cavernosum, thereby increasing blood flow to the penis.
