Most people are familiar with the different ways they can use bottled CBD oil they purchase from their local CBD stockist. Often, there are options on the packaging, or the store attendant has some excellent ideas to share with you.
However, it’s not always clear what you’re supposed to do with CBD flower. While a little more preparation can be involved in the use of CBD buds, you may be surprised at the many different practical ways you can put it to good use, such as these below.
Smoke It In a Joint
One of the most popular ways to consume high percentage CBD buds is with a joint. You can purchase a CBD flower and roll it into a joint yourself, or you can buy them pre-rolled. In some states where cannabis is legal, you may even feel like mixing CBD flower and THC flower for the ultimate user experience.
If you believe smoking a joint is the best option for you, it might be time to refine your rolling skills. You’ll need approximately half a gram of CBD flower and a standard-sized rolling paper. A grinder, crutch for the joint tip, and a pen to help pack the joint may also be helpful.
Grind the CBD flower or use scissors to break it down by hand, make a filter for one end of the rolling paper, such as a thin piece of cardboard, and add your bud. You can now roll it with ease by catching the bottom edge of the paper in the bud and rolling it back and forward to position the CBD flower in the right place. Seal the joint by licking the top edge and twisting the end.
Smoke It In a Pipe or Bong
If you’re unable to find pre-rolled CBD buds, or you don’t like how labor-intensive the process can be, you may decide to smoke your buds in a pipe or bong. With this method, you don’t need to break down the bud as much as you would with a joint or even purchase papers.
You simply need to break a small amount of the bud off, feed it into the chamber of the bong, and allow it to be filtered and cooled before entering your lungs. You may feel sleepy, relaxed, and stress-free in no time.
Mix It With Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is an excellent binding agent for cannabinoids, and it’s such a versatile ingredient for use on your skin, in baking, and even adding to beverages. If you’ve purchased a high-quality CBD bud, you may be able to enjoy maximum effects by mixing it with coconut oil.
Fortunately, this process is easy to do with a few basic ingredients and hardware, such as a grinder, a double-boiler, strainer, your CBD flower, and coconut oil. You can then use it for up to two months however you please.
Brew It in Tea
We all know that certain herbs in teas take care of our ailments. For example, people drink peppermint tea to help an upset stomach or even green tea for a caffeine boost. If you want to enhance your tea further, consider blending those standard tea ingredients with CBD. You may even be able to make a stronger tea by putting your flower in the oven before blending it.
As complicated as it might sound, brewing CBD flower in tea is a straightforward process. You can grind your flower and spread it on parchment paper before baking it for 35 minutes. Once it’s ready, add your tea bag or loose-leaf tea into your mug and put your CBD flower into a tea infuser. Add hot water, and let it steep for up to five minutes.
You may see the value in timing this process as left too long or not long enough, you run the risk of creating a bitter tea or one that’s nearly flavorless. You may also like to enhance your cupped creation with coconut milk, honey, lemon, or sugar.
Some types of CBD flower are better for brewing in tea than others, so don’t be afraid to ask your local supplier what they would recommend for this process.
Use It As a Seasoning
If you’re not a confident baker and don’t have the time to dedicate to additional baking and cooking, you can choose a quick and easy method such as seasoning.
All you need to do is dry it in your oven, crush it up, and use it as a seasoning on your food as you would with salt, pepper, basil, or another herb or spice. Plenty of food can pair beautifully with CBD seasonings, such as roast meat, potatoes, and pasta.
If you’ve never purchased CBD flower before, then you may not be aware of the many different ways you can consume it. These options above are just a few of the many different convenient consumption methods you may like to try.
