Thread: Sakura Kinomoto in Tokyo Revelations

I kid you not. She appears before Princess Sakura after she is on her 'last legs', so to speak. I would post the link to the video which has it, perhaps when I have 10 posts.

What do you interpret from that? Do you believe Kinomoto is dead or somehow she managed to see into the future and appear there as an emotional support (considering she has Clow Reed's blood, who knew this would happen)

Well, I saw it as the producers taking a wee bit of liberty with the material. It was surprising though, considering how faithful it has been so far.

My interpretation of what they were trying to get at was that this is the far future of the Tokyo as we know it and the one Sakura Kinomoto once lived in ages ago. After all, the dimension crossing traverses both space and time.

I also think that they added it because fans have probably been asking over and over about TRC's connection to CCS, and the purpose of that few moments' cameo was mostly fan service.

I don't think this is the future of Sakura's world (in xxxholic Yuko states that the Sakura and Syaoran living in her world are CCS Sakura and Syaoran ('The Evil Four-eyed Demon made such a cute thing for a cute girl...' - referring to Clow Reed, Sakura and the first sealing wand). Would Yuko herself have not told them? And the fact she doesn't appear in the manga. I think this is foreshadowing in some manner.

I'm gonna have to agree with the whole fan service thing.

I was right though - it foreshadowed the fact Sakura Kinomoto mothered 'Syaoran'. And nobody saw that coming save me... I don't know whether to feel happy that I was right or deflated that I was the only one who seemed to see it. It's now inevitable the Card Mistress will show up (considering she's 'Syaoran's mother)

I also stress the point that Sakura did NOT appear in the manga. And Yuko does not state this is the future of her world (although admittedly it is possible). I think it's just another alternate existence - what happens if...?
