Thread: The obvious connection

So TRC and xxxholic are really intertwined right?
(beware possible spoilers)



Syaoran paid something so Watanuki wouldn't die and Yuuko says Wata and Syaoran are the same... you think she's saying this just because what Sy paid or because there's more of that connection?

Both Watanuki from xxxHolic and Syaoran the clone have heterochromatic eyes too. Their birthdays are the same day and none of them remembers their parents. Its seems that they are connected in a very direct way.
Perhaps Watanuki has something to do with "restoring" the clone.

I don't really like the idea - it's really confusing me and... bore me. Completely two different 'moods' - XXXholic is about problem within people (the 'holic' thing, depressing one) ,another one is about saving a princess and solving the problems (and in that manner - much more optimistic one). I understand that there are connections in those mangas beside the one's being forced - but there is too much of them there.

I think that finding details that connect both xxxHolic and TRC is kinda fun. Of course they are different, but its those connections that make me feel that I'm reading things in the same "dimension".
Appart from strange coincidences (or hitsuzen?) between Syaoran and Watanuki, Yuuko stated that they had a thicker bond than anyone else.

it's obvious and in the last chapter it's been more obious sakura meating watanuchi and their coversation....
But i think that TRC's story will eventualy land back in watanuchi's world and i thnk watanuki has to protect it... something like that
let's whait and see...

yeah, I think I'll land back in Wata-chan's but maybe is not like that, like Kolox said Holic isn'´t about saving the earth or whatever, is about saving oneself... though I don't think TRC is only the classic story about saving the princess Sakura, 'cause fei wong reed's intentions aren't clear enough yet...
now I don't think Wata is protecting any one in a sacrificial kind of way because he finally realizes that he's important for those around him... but he's having his powers trained by being in Yuuko's... besides it has been hinted that the card captor sakura and syaoran live in the same world as Watanuki so wouldn't it be better job for them to do the "saving"

but as you said we can only make assumptions while we wait to see...
