The original Syaoran and Sakura

Ever since i found out about the original syaoran and his story, i've been a little heated over this issue. The original syaoran has been screwed over in more ways than one, from being imprisoned and having to live through his clone.
But what i want to understand most is his relationship with sakura. When he came into the group she was, well she was cold towards him, which later on we have a better understanding why. But what i'm wondering is, is she more affectionate to the clone or to the original? She cares about the original, but thats the type a person she is, she cares about everyone, mostly. It seems like she wants to save the clone, she knows she will meet up w/ him again. The original syaoran could be considered a complete stranger to her. Its not what i believe, but it is what it is. I guess what i'm asking is, does she love the clone or the original and how the original feels about it? |

She deffinitely loves clone, looking at how she abandons everyone and hurries to meet him (this is not her only goal there but still).
To me it seems that original won't be against if Sakura loved him.

Taking into account that Original watched all Clone's life from his eye he had time to fall in love just as much as Clone (they have the same personality after all). He has reason to be sad.

Yeah, I think so. It wasn't like he was conscious or anything, and he DID experience all of that. It's just kind of sad how he likes her and she ignores him for someone that not only looks just like him but is also a vicious murderer... and who technically shouldn't have existed in the first place.

It seems that Sakura will need like hell a lot of character development to forget about clone and to fall for original one. Lame tricks like "saving her from hands of murderer" sholdn't work here (Tsubasa is just too good for that).

I might have to be resigned to that fate, as much as i dont like it.
The way i see it, is that sakura doesnt love the clone. How can i explain this. The clone originally meant to be used as a puppet, but since the original inserted a portion of his own soul into the clone, the clone became more than a puppet and developed a personality. This leads to Sakura following in love with the clone's soul, which in reality is the original's soul. So she is in love with the original, but through median of the clone, which is only a portion of the original. I might be stretching it, but i just feel bad for the original. She fell in love w/ the original's soul, doesnt that count for something? |

Except the clone developed (or was supposed to develop) his own "heart". I don't think the two Syaorans have identical personalities, since they've been shaped by their (different) experiences. At the very least, real-Syaoran has had experiences that clone-Syaoran hasn't. Also, clone-Syaoran is pretty obviously a different person altogether; there's no denying that Sakura didn't grow up and fall in love with the real Syaoran, no matter how similar he may be to the clone. In her mind, they're totally different people. She COULD fall in love with the real Syaoran (and may), but she doesn't love him now.

Several times Sakura saw a "shadow" of her beloved clone-S when talking to original and thougth like "omdfg they are alike 111!!!!!" So I don't think that this two have such huge differences in personalities.

The way i saw it, is that the foundation of the clone's personality is the original's personality, they might differ, but the base or overall personality is the same. They are different beings, but its the exact same soul. Unlike the other characters in the story who have different forms of themselves depending on the world, the soul isnt directly shared between the similar characters. Its the same person in looks, but there heart and soul are unique in themselves, no matter how much they look alike they are different people. Were as the clone has the soul of the original.
Its not like she was totally oblivious to the existance of the original. Sakura's father spoke to the original in front of sakura and she was perceptive enough to know that he wasnt refering to the syaoran in front of her. Okay i know it seems like i'm pleading, which i kinda am, but it is also my own personal beliefs of love and i guess i have always seen CLAMP as doing a great job of incorporating philosophical issues in the story.
