Thread: The original Syaoran and Sakura

A lot of the clones personality is also based on the false memories that it was given. The personalities of the clone and the original while similar on some basic levels are very different. The original seems more of the take charges type who will impose his will on a situation while the clone seems more laid back. Just my opinion.

The only differences in personality and memory I can think of would be that they have slightly different perspectives. They both EXPERIENCED what happened, but in different ways.

The clone experienced everything first-hand, and he didn't know that he was a clone. He was actually a part of the adventure, with the good times and bad. On the other hand, Syaoran watches everything through the clone. He sees the same thing the clone sees, and would probably respond in the same way. The difference between their memories would be that Syaoran isn't actually in danger (aside from being stuck submerged in a glass case thing), so when he recalls those memories, he wouldn't feel the same intense emotions that might go with it. Remembering what happened would be like recalling the events of a TV show for Syaoran, I assume. It just wouldn't be the same as actually being there.

Maybe Sakura notices the little differences between them, and Syaoran's just not the same as Clone. Syaoran may be 99% similar to Clone, but Sakura notices that 1% difference, and sees that the real Syaoran isn't the person taht she got to know and fall in lvoe with.

Did all that make any sense?

GiantPandaRawr, you're forgetting that Syaoran had a life before being trapped in wherever with his clone. The clone doesn't have those memories, which means his personality would not have been affected by them, but Syaoran did. While we don't really know very much of the real Syaoran's past at this time, it was... what, about six or seven years before the clone's life began? That's definitely enough time for him to be just different enough in personality even after another seven years.

(Oh, THAT was probably why I was saying S+S were fourteen. It's probably not an exact age, though.)

I think Sakura is just consciously aware that these are two different Syaorans and isn't even trying to get to know the original. In the past, the clone was always there, and she had no reason to reject his actions; in fact, she probably still had feelings for him, so they still obviously loved each other. Once the original Syaoran showed up, she can reject him since, in her mind, he's not her Syaoran (regardless of what he feels for her or how he acts).

OOOH I see, i just read wikipedia and found out that the clone was there waaaay before. I'd been under the assumption that the clone was placed there at the start of their journey, not before. I dunno how i missed that ._______. I guess i need to reread those chapters.

Do we know if the Clone still actually has memories? Because to me he looked like a crazy psychopath, and it looked like he'd kind of forgotten everything and become emotionless. Unless they actually stated that he still had all his memories and only lost his emotions/Syaoran's heart. Or did I miss something again XD

^ What we are sure about is that he lost his heart. Which made his look and behave liek a crazy psychopath. Now he has only one goal (the one he was made to accomplish) - to collect featheres.

Oh god... Indeed, that IS confusing. Sometimes I wonder too. Sakura-san can predict the future right? There's probably something she knows that she isn't telling. And also, I think the two Syaoran-san are the same ones. Just a feeling.

Is anyone here noticing how simmilar this is to kingdom hearts? The sora/roxas thing vs. the Syaoran/C-Syaoran thing...? aww well....

I think they are two different people, and that she is cold to the real syaoran so she wont forget the syaoran that she spent her childhood with. She probably knows that she'll fall in love with the real one if she lets herself, but she wants to see if she can bring her syaoran backto his senses....meh... just a guess.

another thing. where did the real syaoran come from? Is he the cardcaptors syaoran that was captured by fei wang reed? that would explain the age of the clone when fujitaka found him, and the real syaorans ability to use magic.....ah, I hope i'm not too far off here....

I dont know where the real syaoran came from, but i'm pretty certain he's not the same syaoran from ccs. I don't believe the real syaoran had come in contact w/ sakura until he followed his clone. He is from a separate world that we don't know about. He might be from the same world as fei wang.

i think he is probably the syaoran of some other world as well he probably has his own sakura-you never know with clamp.

you know... im still kinda confused... the original is the batman outfit dude and clone is extremely cruel fai killer right? then who was her childhood friend? clone? and was the original cooped up all his life?
