wow. so aya's the knight. Is that Masataka as the rook? The picture says "the rook penetrates" but it is obviously more focused on aya the knight o.o strange.

According to Chess, The queen is the strongest piece and we already found out back in Chapter 70 that Maya was the White Queen. The king is referred to as teh most important piece, obviously being Souichiro as his life will affect everyone around him. The Rook (Masataka) is the second strongest piece in chess. The knight and bishop are considered equal in strength, but each has their own strength (Aya and Kabane respectively). The knight can move over the other pawns in the beginning and attack just about any other piece before the piece can attack it.

It'd be bummed if Nagi isn't the strongest and Oh great did say in the beginning that Nagi was(would be) the strongest person to enter the Jyuukenbu(note that Mitsuomi and Aya's brother were part of it)
