Has Tenjou Tenge always been a Monthly manga?

I'm just wondering cause if it has... then it has been out for a really long time..

i'm pretty sure it was a weekly years back. i think its only been a monthly for the last year or so. well i think it was a weekly before air gear anyways, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah I was sort of thinking that it was a weekly before airgear, then switched to monthly after that started. but I couldnt find anything that supported that.

I just really want to know the answer to this question, cause I dont like thinking that Tenjou Tenge has been around for 9 years and 3 months and still hasnt finished.

it was weekly years ago but its been monthly for like 2 or 3 years now. and they tend to take some months off.
