Bob is a great character, and one of my favorites. But I don't know about him being the "true warrior", if that's what the "Why Bob?" question is referring to. I get the impression that Mitsoumi has been "grooming him" for some reason, not the least of which may be Mits wanting Bob to join the Enforcement Group.
Like Masataka, Bob has a great deal of clarity in Why He Fights, although his focus and resolve are not as great. But that clarity makes them both formidable and honorable, and probably explains their affinity for each other from the start.
They call Bob the ideal body for a reason. In reality, a black man has the best inherent traits for fighting. Strong, lean muscles, height, all make Bob the ideal fighter. Too bad, they exxagerate the show a lot with people like Mitsuomi, or rather the whole manga in general. Bob has a lot more potential, but they just didn't milk it well enough. He's there for mostly shits and giggles with penis jokes and the like.
