Thread: How about Bob?

I guess that's my only question. Bob's just kinda like...there. Obligatory black guy according to US standards. I kinda hate how he knows Capoeira since that's a Black Martial Art, but whatev.

What do you think will become of him? Think he'll join Mitsuomi, even though he told Chiaki he wouldn't? For that matter, maybe he has a Dragon Gate-ish thing?

Gotta love the penis jokes... And why the hell did Oh! Great have to make him looking like Dennis Rodman? I won't be surprised if Bob's in a dress in the next chapter.

I think Oh!Great was just trying to make Bob look more like Bunshichi (Plus Oh! Great got tired of drawing the dreds).
As for joining Mitsuomi, now that the tournament has started, it might not happen. However, he is the only member of the Jyukenbu with skill that hasn't fought and might have some chance of beating Soichirou yet. Aya wouldn't hurt Soichirou, Maya's too f'ked up to know who Soichirou is, and Masataka already fought Soichirou, even though it was before Soichirou started training.

As for the Dragon Gate, he can probably use the Metal gate, the sixth one which is based on Intuition, which Bob has shown a lot of over the entire manga, yet none of the characters have really said anything about it.

hahahah how true, everything you said is true. hes just a typical black guy, but in japan? i think hes just in there for kicks, bu then again he might become a big character later on maybe? bu i dont think he's gonna join mitsoumi for some odd reason, and i dought he will have a dragon gate since hes black lol

I think Bob has some Japanese in him... I mean, his last name is "Makihara," unless that's African.

I don't think it's because "he's black" that makes it so that he doesn't have a Dragon Gate. Aya, Souichirou, and I guess Masataka have them because they inherit it. Ki flows through all life forms and I'm sure the gate exists in everyone, it's just more prevalent to exist in those who use it on a regular basis and learn it as a family skill.

Maybe Bob's hair is blonde so that he would be compared more to Mitsuomi, whose hair is also blonde. He's already got the height and some of mitsuomi's muscular build.

Since when has Mitsuomi been a blonde? >_o In the anime is hair is blue-ish. And he's got Kazuya Mishima eyebrows...just be random.

yeah, i liked the dreads better too...but imagine constantly drawin them, only makes sense to me. Oh btw, i dont like the new souchirou either...=\...looks weird...or something...just dont like it.

I like the new Souichirou. His hair before.. I don't know, I hated it when I first saw it--took some time for it to grow on me. Kinda reminds me of a youthful Heihachi Mishima (what's with me and Tekken?).

I prefer Black guys with their hair cut but I liked Bob's dreads... Though I can imagine Oh! Great's pain. I just don't like the fact that Bob went blonde. >_o
