I think he sees Bob as the one who can defeat the true demon as he never really changed himself throughout the series so far, personality-wise.

you are confusing things:
Souichirou: the image that was grabbing his legs, was the dragon literally starting to eat his leg. that is one of the consequences when you use/become the black dragon(earth dragon) with doubt in your heart, you risk getting eaten by it.

Masataka: the snake biting his heart was due to fear against the power of a Red Feather, much like how Mitsumi felt a snake biting his heart when he witnessed Shin using his dragon gate.

As for AYa: I don't really recall her being near death because she has never fought somebody to that extent.

hey it is not his falt for not liking aya you ether like somebody when you see them or not you can't make yourself like them espacialy when you like their older sister (but i still think he'll come around and start liking her)

I think that bob with be the true warrior. remember that misuomi was shin's best friend and fought against him to save him. he might of failed due to the blood of the 12 famillies having evil powers within them. bob is free of the "tainted" blood and could be able to defeat nagi without it leading to his depise and effectivly stop the dragons powers manifesting. this could be why mitsuomi offered to train bob, because his own training has led him to recognize the real true warrior.

No Mitsuomi wants Bob to be the true warrior because he know Masataka is it and doesnt want Masataka involved. Bob will take the the place of Buschinchi-san, rememeber he was Shin's best friend before Mitsuomi and he beat the hell out of shin, and he has no special power at all. I think Masataka and Nagi will end up going at it after Bob and Nagi have though is if really is going to repeat itself like such

That would really suck if the whole shin thing repeated itself. Then Makiko would lose her only child and her husband, so maybe no more nagi clan.
As for the Mitsuomi/Masataka thing, I just believe that Mitsuomi sees a lot of himself in Masataka and he doesn't want him to rely on using the powers of a demon to defeat a demon. Mitsuomi probably wouldn't have enough skill to beat shin if he get that huge ki charge up into his heart. Yeah, he wasn't born with special powers, but with the ki blast through his heart, it almost like using a red feather's special ability. He didn't train to gain all of that power, it was like he was forced to make a deal with a demon to gain enough strength to defeat a demon.
That's probably why he wants to train Bob, who isn't willing to sell his soul to gain power, like it appears Masataka is leading towards, so that maybe this wheel of fate thing would change before he dies.

Remember though. Buschinichi was ranked as the number one stongest fighter in school and Mitsuomi was number two. I think its still that way just everyone is afraid of Mitsuomi becaus ehe controlls everything and Bunschinchi is so laid back everyone thinks hes kool....which he is.

I thought Bunschinichi was ranked as number one and Shin was ranked number two. A bunch of guys in the top ten decided to band together to form a temporary team to defeat Bunschinichi and Shin's team. Mitsuomi defeated that temporary team rather quickly, though. Did he take the number two spot when Shin died? ~_^

I thought Bunschinichi decide to take number 2 and give number 1 spot to shin.

Ya i was wrong I meant to say Shin, and not Mitsuomi, was number two but everyone respected shin as Number one. Even still though anyone that know anything knows that Buschinchi-san is the number one fighter in the school...i mean granted hes like 4 years olders than everyone else but he is the number one guy. He jsut doesnt fight anymore.
