Thread: Manga Or Anime????

watch the anime, since the opening is so catchy

Manga's way better than the anime. The manga's got more story and at least to me goes into a bit more detail with the characters... plus the art designs for the characters look so much better in the manga. (Natsume Aya doesn't look like a dufus at all in the manga)

Other than the fact that you get to see your favorite characters move and talk in the anime, I definately like the manga more.

I got hooked with the Anime first, and I thought it was good, but when I decided to check the Manga, mostly because it goes on, I got hooked more on the manga. I sure like the Manga more because it goes on after Souichirou's transformation, but I liked the music form the anime too, like "A Gale" or "Mitsuomi". Those songs are reallly nice, but short.

In overall, the manga has way better points than the anime, but the anime it's a pretty good tool to start getting to know Tenjou Tenge, in my opinion.

I still go with the Manga, and it's different in some points, like Ultimate Fight. Ultimate Fight is not in the Manga, or most of the stuff in Ultimate fight.

I started and ended with the manga, i never bothered to watch the anime once i understood that it would follow the exact same story. that, and i found the accuall animation terribly sloppy, as if they didnt even bother to do it good.

anyways on the manga vs. anime topic, i use the rule that the one that came first is better. If it was originally an anime, the manga is usually crap, vice versa applies when the manga was the first one. And imo,tjtg is a pretty good example of this.

They both were great. The manga is what I started with. I then watched the anime. The anime had awesome fighting scenes and I loved it, but the story was altered and killed it. The manga kept it up until the whole past thing began, that killed the manga. Luckily this manga-ka also does Air Gear and so far, so good.

The manga is way better than the anime series. I just wish that they didnt show those freakin memories that took up most of the whole season! >_< It took like 7 episode or 10 just to finish the memories. That really suck.

Why don't take some initiative and check the last chapter if it looks likes the end? Is it really that hard? Have you heard search engines such as Google, Yahoo, or even AOL (DEAR GOD NO)? Most translators have more than one manga they are translating, and their lives aren’t to serve you by translating manga 24/7. Also, you are not even on topic- the topic is which do you like better, the manga or anime of the series Tenjou Tenge NOT bullshit complaints about 'iz teh seris stil gong onn?!11' and 'relez mor pgae!11!11'. I could go on with this, but just please, just don't be so ignorant about everything.

Back to topic, I think the manga is better because it isn't so jumpy, explains things that aren’t in the anime, and doesn't spend as much time on the flashbacks. About the censorship of some of the scenes and taking it out or replacing it, I can understand that. They simply don't want themselves labeled as producing an `adult` series and probably to make it safe for TV. The anime has a really annoying and retarded opening song and shitty ending one too.
