Keep in mind there's some credibility disputes since Tawara was the one who told the story and the people who listenned to it thought he was full of shit.

It actually clarifies the reasons for the conflict some time later. Maya at first didn't blame Mitsoumi for Shin's death however afterwards Mitsuomi felt that Dougen his dad was responsible for it all and staged the coup followed by building the brutally of his Enforcers to get rid of certain fighters and roughnecks in the school. This is because Dougen's original plan was to gather as many people together with powers as possible to create a resonance effect awakening all their powers which under the circumstances would lead to a massive chaotic brawl of superbeings.

However Mitsoumi was too brutal and even opposed members joining the Jyukenbu so Maya opposed this outward brutality. I imagine that the opinions they hold regarding Shin are in part due to self-blame. Mitsuomi for being hitting to hard and Maya for nothing trying hard enough to stop him.

But wouldn't that mean that Misumi was right all along. I mean he does it with Iron fist but still, doesn't that mean that he is right. All dougen cared about was creating the True Warrior, he didn't care who or what he sacrified and he was even more greedy by trying to make his own son the True Warrior. Taking Dougen off the head of the 12 families was the right move after all.

What i dont understand is that Maya is dead on avenging her brother that killed himself. And stopping a war??Is there even a war in the first place? i really don't understand that. overexageration seems to be an everyday ocuurence in tenten.

There seems to be several deep rooted misunderstandings everywhere or differences of opinions and unorthodox character developments.

Mitsoumi got rid of Dougen because he thought Dougen's way of doing things was bad, after all it got Shin killed even Soichirou agrees that Dougen's a dick. However Dougen wanted to create a warrior who was strong enough to kill Demonical Possessed Red Feathers like Shin and Nagi who go berserk and kill people because Shin killed his friends the Natsume parents. Part of the plan was to create the aforementioned Resonance Cascade which Mitsuomi opposes to keep order oppose to Dougen's natural selection process.

For Maya it's not just about avenging Shin (either that or OhGreat! messed up again) but about stopping Mitsuomi before he ends up like his father and Shin, violent and corrupt killers. she's about preservation of life and health period. She asks Mitsuomi in the past have you ever killed anyone because I haven't then says she's no different from Shin and Mitsuomi after killing Mohawk man. Mitsuomi having come to accept killing and brutality as part of his MO.

It is very close to the anime, just it has H in it. Also it goes beyond the anime's story line, which is a good thing ^_^.

That's the point no one is really in the right they're just doing what they believe is right. Mitsoumi is becoming too much like his father but Dougen started off with good intentions to exorcise the demon that made Shin and later threatenned to corrupt Aya and Souchiro. His methods were just bad.

Yes there is a war just not a very conventional one Maya even says to Makiko that with Souchirou's life she'll end the War.
