Default I can't read .rar format

I'm having problems with any file in .rar format I have WinAce so it supports .rar and its always worked for me but yesterday any .rar file I tried to read would pop up with an error message saying my computer doesn't support this format...

No idea. Thats strange. Try going to the options for WinAce and telling the program once again to associate RAR files with WinAce, or go to tools, folder options, file types (?), and do it manually from windows.

If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the software. If you still have a no-go, then try 7zip (in the freeware thread). There are others out there to do this if you want to look around some (Martyr says he has one that does another 3 or 4 formats in addition to the 7zip ones if you don't count the offshoot names of some of the compression methods, forgot the name though).

    Get this?

Note that I am not being sarcastic, and I really do intend this to help (if it is any). I don't know a lot about Macs. Just that if the disk is stuck in the drive, you turn the power on while holding the mouse button to eject it (roomie's friend was going to pay 50 bucks or some shit to have done what took me 5 minutes to find how to do on the internet).
