    Default A port forwarding question...

Hey guys, posted this in thr bittorent forum but was told to try here... this is going to be kind of tricky to explain, but I'll give it a go.

I'm using a Dlink 302g router, and trying to set up prt forwarding on it. I followed the instructions on portforward.com for my router:

    http://www.portforward.com/english/r...2/BitComet.htm

But, right at the end, where it says to add the NAT Rule, I have a problem. It always says "Entry already exists". I have no other port forwarding on this computer, so the same port is being forwarded twice. Also, I've tried other ports. What I found was that when I changed the "Rule ID" tag from 1 to 2, it would let me make the rule. But then, that rule didn't help. I guess it was subservient to the already-existing Rule 1, which overrode my new Rule 2, making it redundant.

So either I can't enter the rule at all, or I can only enter a useless one. The only option I can think of is to remove the original rule, but I'm pretty reluctant to do that since it seems like it could lead to a lot of trouble, as I don't really know what I'm doing!

If anyone could give me any help on this, that's be great. My download speeds are pretty poor! I tried posting on the portforward.com forums, but it's been ignored. Cheers!

Id try and get a router other than D-link. I have a D-link and I have tryed everything but still get NAT errors
As a child, a library card takes you to exotic, faraway places. When you\'re grown up, a credit card does it.

I've had a lot of experience with port forwarding especially on D-link routers. What ports are you trying to forward, and why?
