    Default Maya or 3ds Max?

What's everyones opinion on the pros/cons of each, which one is better overall, which industries utilize which program more? I'm hoping (futilely) that this can stay on topic and involve intelligent posting. If you dont really know for sure (or are not informed enough), please do not post. Thanks.

I haven't used them that much, but 3ds seems easier to use, while maya seems more powerful and has more functions (but I've only just started to learn how to use them, so I'm not to sure).

Wrong section. This should go in the Tech Support section.

You think so? I think this is pretty much fine in Chit Chat... I dont need support, and I'm not having a problem, just asking for opinions. But i suppose you could move it there if you want. I doubt it would get the same traffic, though.

check this website if you want to see the comparison between 3d modeling sofware
honestly, i think maya is way better than 3d max because it's capability is far more superrior
but don't forget that other program is also catching up with maya
and more importantly, autodeks is buying alias... (I am waiting for what will happen next here ^^)

but its complexity might kill though.. that's why people tend to choose 3dmax
but if you think 3dmax is too easy, that's when you know you should switch to maya

    and just a suggestion...
you are in a manga forum, so don't expect a professional answer...
if you are expecting a profesional answer, then go to professional graphic design /technical forum XD
*this doesn't mean that you will never find professional answer btw....
