Removing Ubunbu 8.10+ hp laptop audio drivers ??
I got a new laptop and with vista installed. and then wanted to see what linux is like and installed Ubuntu, i accidently pressed cancel when i thought ubuntu was going to reformat my drive(same drive vista is on). There was still a Ubuntu choosing option in the start-up page(UN and PW not working) and i thought installing Ubuntu again might make it work as installation was partly done the first time. So I installed Ubuntu again(8.10 both times) to see if things were better but now in the OS choosing page I have 2 Ubuntu options none of which work --the second time i installed Ubuntu I did not use a partition instead installed over the windows partition as instructions said there will be no auto-format over vista. -----------.. I am using the Wubi version of Ubuntu on my computer as a virtual PC now, and I have already unistalled the "Ubuntu" software from add-remove programs and since the Wubi still works, and both the Ubuntu options are still right up there at the OS start page,
is there any way to completely remove these 2 Ubuntu OS from my laptop ?
PS: my laptop is HP dv5 notebook PC. the touchscreen audio-mute button seems to be stuck on orange (mute mode) when I install a program and white color( No idea what this is, Sound on mode is blue for my laptop) when I install some other program/uninstall previous program.
I have no idea whats going on, can someone please give me some input ??
