Thread: Download Limit Exceeded even tho' I haven't dled anything for a while

I've been having issues with Megaupload lately. It keeps giving me an error saying "Download Limit Exceeded" and then mentioning how I recently dled xxxxxx kBs of information even tho' I haven't done such.

I normally use a LinkSYS router with a secured connection, and I'm the only one who uses it (unless if family is visiting). And, right now, I'm using my parents unsecured wireless LinkSYS connection and I'm getting the same results. My sister says she hasn't had any problems with her laptop, so it's just me.

This problem didn't start happening until after I forwarded a port in order to increase my utorrent speeds. The utorrent speeds picked up but MU stopped working soon afterwards.

Experimenting, I tried downloading a file in IE that in I couldn't in Firefox and it worked. I'm uncertain whether or not this means the problem is in FF or if this just was a fluke.

I just want to know WTF is going on. I appreciate any help. Thank you.

Check for a proxy first, if there isn't one, you should be able to trick MU by renewing your IP address.

Which is it?
You have two separated networks, and both have exceeded the download limit??
or you have 2 routers, on the same network?

Also, if you inside a school,dormitory, lavatory it's probably going thru a proxy, and anyone using that same proxy that is downloading is hogging all the limit for that ip, not your's internal, but the facility external.

Someone might have connected to your unsecured network and downloaded killing your limit.

Your sister is downloading porn OR
Your father is downloading porn OR
your mom is downloading porn...

all are options you need to consider.

Anyway,try searching for the same file on other dll sites if you can´t solve the problem.Wish ya luck^^
