Thread: PCI audio problem

I have recently formatted my crappy "E-System 3090 UK" brand laptop and installed XP. Used DriverScanner to locate all drivers I needed and most seemed to go fine.

I'm now left with no sound and in device manager there's a yellow ? on PCI devices. It seems XP is seeing the onboard soundcard as a PCI device.

I've looked around for the correct audio driver and thought I got the right one off the intel site. The chipset is: Intel 82801GBM ICH7-M.



At a bit of a loss now and considering taking a hammer to it.... HELP!

Just go on the manufacturers website and get all the correct drivers from there.

Kinda the first thing I tried.
