Thread: My PC reboot back 2 seconds later after I click turn off..........

Can anyone help me solve this prob......... It`s annoying .....

I don`t know why when I click turn off, 2 seconds later with the power still running my PC will reboot / restart again. What the hell. I have to cut the supply off completely if I wanna turn off my computer.............

Is there something wrong with my system ? Registry ? Or maybe virus ?

You should try running a registry fixer, such as ccleaner and see if it clears up your problem.

And Comp_Master......... I already did what you told me...... I`ts not working...........

If 98abaile's method doesn't yield any results, another thing you could try is running chkdsk at the command prompt.

if all fail
reinstall XP.

Wireless keybords can also cause this problem. My brother's computer will boot up randomly if he doesn't shut off the power or unplug his wireless keyboard.

Just confirming without jumping to any conclusions here, what OS are you using?
