Just wanted to know what the advantages were and if it was worth getting over the 32 bit version (and if I can even use it at all).
My processor is a Q6600.

The only real advantage is that you're not limited to 3 gigs of addressable memory. I believe that the theoretical maximum is now 128 gigs of RAM.
So from a gaming stand point, the 64 bit version would be better right?
Would it work with my processor?

All Intel CPUs since Prescott have had EM64T (well, all of them except Yonah).
Probably referring to Far Cry 64-bit visual improvements.
(I'm color blind so I don't care much about 64 bit details lol)
There's really not much difference from 32 bit. I guess it also depends on what type of video card you use.
I use mostly 3d applications(3dsmax 9) which has a 64 bit option to use on 64 bit vista. I said vibrant because of(how do I explain this?): The textures are more detailed when applying on a 3d model compared to using 32 bit and 3dsmax for some reason crashes more when in 64 bit mode.
32-bit and 64-bit operating systems make no difference to graphics or textures. If any game looks different in 64-bit mode it's just because the developers made it that way. So far I haven't heard of a single game where this is the case though, except Far Cry since Jyuu mentioned it.
@ Jyuu: What improvements did they make in the 64-bit version of Far Cry? The only graphical improvements that I was aware of was the addition of HDR in v1.3, but that's not limited to the 64-bit version.
