Type 192.168.1.1 in a web browser and type in your router's login information default is USERNAME:admin PASSWORD:admin. Then go to the wireless tab and look for the section wireless secruity select WPA and type in a pass phrase and hit enter and your done.

Isn't the default login for Linksys routers blank and admin?
my router went quack on me a few weeks back, so this was how i did it. this here is for the wrt54g model, so this won't be 100% accurate if you have a different model;
1- as fantasystrike said, type in 192.168.1.1 on a web browser. by default, you should leave the username blank, and the password as "admin".
2- go to "wireless"> "wireless security".
3 - for "security mode", choose "WEP". for "default transmit key", i chose "1". dunno whats the difference otherwise. for the "WEP encryption", you have a choice here, but my suggestion would be to take "64 bits 10 hex digits". only cuz i'm familiar with this option. finally, under "key 1", type in a 10 character password of your choice. make sure you write it down as well.
4- now click on "save settings". and you're done.
Do I have to?
^consider upgrading to WPA/WPA2 if available (instead of WEP). I don't have a router with me at the moment, so can't really guide you step by step.
