    Default Case fan

Which way is the wind supposed to go? In or out?

    It depends on its design.

Usually, case fans at the front suck the cold air in, case fans at the back and top blow the hot air out. Flip the fan depending on where you put it so that it blows air the right way.

If there is only one spot for a fan, then it typically blows out... IE: you have small vents on the front of the case, but large vents with a mount point for a fan.

More expensive cases will have spots for multiple fans. It's up to you to decide where and how they work... or rather, to look in the book and find the answer. :P

When there are two or more fans, typically one will blow in and one (or more) out... as you would be creating an airflow. That's the entire goal. Cold air in, hot air out.
