How can you assign program to one screen?
Example: Counter Strike on the secondary screen and then web browsing, etc, etc, etc, on the primary screen.
Run everything in windows and not in full screens.
Aye. Using windows instead of fullscreen be the best. 3d fullscreen games are usually kinda bastardish towards what they want and how they want it... good chance that if you try to pause and go do something on another screen, it'll say f*** life and crash... at least in my experience (which is very little, I grant).
Also probably depends on the program your using to manage the multiple screens as well. Some are better than others, or so I hear. I'm using the free Hydravision from ATI (I have an ATI card... natch), and I find a quirk that if I'm watching a movie at full screen on monitor 1, and I go and try and do something on monitor 2, it will leave fullscreen. However, reverse the monitors (movie at fullscreen on monitor 2, random shit on screen 1), it doesn't really care... although that could be an issue with Media Player Classic, and not so much Hydravision, I suppose. I don't honestly know.
Sooo, kinda have to play around with it. :\
Things get touchy when you have multiple screens, but it is oh, so sexy and worth it.
oh... and yeah, a lot of the multi-screen managers have the option to assign an executable to launch on a certain screen... I launch IRC on monitor 2, for example... or I launch Eclipse on monitor 2 and Firefox on monitor 1 (so I can just look over and reference lessons or code as I work, instead of having to jump between them).
So yeah... like I said... it's sexy.
thanks to Silverwmoon!
O.k. Thanks for the help.
