Well the file I'm downloading is at 99.5% and it stopped. It hasn't been moving since yesterday. Grrr

Torrents are cool. You will have your own website and you will realise that putting a 45 kb file is much better than 2 GB one...

-_-;; And how is the fact that your torrent isn't working a subject for the TECH SUPPORT forum? It probably isn't a problem you can fix; it's something to do with the file itself or the user(s) seeding the file.

Aw crap, you're right. I forgot about the Bittorrent/IRC Download Problems forum. Well it was more of a what should I do? But I guess it came out wrong.

Is it an anime or any kind of video file. Cuz if it is then VLC media player can play partially completed files. When I was watching Eureka Seven just about all the episodes were at between 91 and 99% and I watched them on VLC with minimum trouble.

First off... There is no specific file type for anime. Any video can be an anime or movies or whatever. So your reasoning is valid for most video containers (I don't dare say it'll work with any, coz I've only met a few -- AVI, WMV, OGM/OGG, and MKV).

Second. You're right, VLC can play partially downloaded files, and I think Media Player Classic has a similar capability. But on both players, you can't seek backwards and forwards.

Sure you can, I do it with both of them, even on incomplete files. If you can't, it's more likely to be the particular codec or filter you're using, I think. Either that, or it was only introduced in the more recent versions of the players.

Really? On incomplete files? I can't get that to work somehow... Yeah, maybe it's the player version. Somehow I can't be bothered getting VLC 0.86c, still using 0.86b =p

But media player classic..? I mean, there are no new versions of media player classic is there? I'm using like... 6.4.9.0, with ffdshow 1381 (Jul 29 2007).

Ok I might not be remembering properly, I know 100% for sure that VLC can do it (the version I downloaded recently has greatly improved seeking compared to other versions I've used, so they probably fixed up seeking on incomplete files too. I might be wrong about Media Player Classic though, I haven't tried it recently. I usually play incomplete files in VLC because it handles them much better.
