    Default cant burn cds

my computer is getting so cluttered with anime/manga that i've been trying to burn them all onto cd's to clear up space for further downloading pleasure. except when i tried using HP RecordNow, it says: No compatible Recordable or Rewritable devices could be found on your system." Roxio gives me a similar message as well. I also tried using the CD Writing Wizard but that always claims that the blank CD i inserted is either full or unwritable.

the thing is that when looking under properties, the cd drive says that it's working properly and is recordable. it was working fine before... I tried uninstalling & reinstalling the CD drives, but that didn't help at all. does anyone have any ideas? x__x[/i]

question: what type of cd are you using? a CD R or a CDRW?? if it is a CD R, have you used it before and are you trying to add stuff to it?? a CD R can only be used ONCE. that could be why your getting the "cd is full/unwritable" error. a CDRW is the type to use if you wanna add files to it.

It's a CD-R, but i've never used it before. i tried using other blank ones, but the message that pops up is always the same.
