    Default faster audio than video

ho hum...i think my computer is sick. regardless of what i'm using (windows media player or media player classic) i keep getting like a 30seconds lag. i pause everything i'm dl...and still i get this annoying lag. stupid audio is fasta than the video.

usually, i just pause the anime, rewind a bit, and it's all betta. but now with it happening every TWO minutes, it's quite annoying.

    any suggestions to fix it?

You may have a corrupted codec and that's hard to fix.

awww man...sigh, i was afraid of that...

i hate my codecs...i dl something that screwed up my .ogm files. took me forever to finally fix it and play .ogm files...

question: is there a software that'll completely erase all codecs?? cause i know if you just delete them, they may not be permenately gone. i rather just erase the codecs instead of this entire computer so then i can just start from scratch...

hmmm well im not an expert at computers or nething (im only 14 ) but... maybe u can try dl other video codecs which may fix the problem. i had the same problem as u but i tried dl otha video codecs and no more lag . if that doesnt work maybe u could just try reinstalling windows media.

Codecs are "attached" to your computer as device drivers (kind of) and they are stuck in your registry. You could try to find all .dll and .ax files that are causing the problem, but since you don't know which ones they are, it's safer to back up all your files and format your hard disk drive.
There is no real point in installing other codecs since for watching anime, all you need is xvid and divx.
Reinstalling the media player has a slim chance of solving the problem since it relies heavily on decoders/codecs.
Have you installed any software recently?
