Recently I've acquired a batch of PDF files, consisting of pictures only.
When I open some of them with Adobe Reader 8.1.0, I see only rows of vertical black lines on white background. After zooming in and out for a while, I usually get the normal view of document. However, it tends to return to "bars" after scrolling. The "Pages" view shows all pages as they are supposed to look, thumbnails near the scroll bar are also normal. When I use PDF Reader 2.4 -- documents is displayed perfectly. I browsed through many PDFs before with Adobe soft -- never seen such symptoms.
So I began to wonder:
Why does it happen? I can come up only with having not enough memory -- but 2 GBs should be plenty for ~120 MB file.
Can I do something to overcome it? PDF Viewer is not too comfortable for extended reading.
Would be grateful for any help!
