    Question Firewall question

Which firewall is easy 2 use & better for my sister's PC, Sunbelt (free version) or Comodo? I prefer the latter rather than the former because for some reason Sunbelt firewall icon doesn't appear in the system tray when i turn on my pc & it only appears when i start the firewall which makes me believe that it doesn't automatically start when i turn on my PC which is not a good idea since she might forget. Is it normal & something i shouldn't be worried about or just use Comodo?

Just use Comodo if it will work. Sunbelt isn't nearly as good.

Comodo has a few problems though, and doesn't always work (it crashes my system), but it is the best firewall I've seen. It's not THAT much harder to use. Hang around your sister for a day or two until all the permissions are learned and set and you'll be fine.

    PS:
I tried Kirio, and I don't remember it not activating on startup... but I suppose if it isn't working, just re-install it... still doesn't work, drop a link to the executable in your Startup folder. (if you still care)

I use Comodo as well. It's hard to find something free that's better.

I go a bit overboard with security...Netscreen hardware firewall, Comodo firewall and antivirus on my PC, and running Peer Guardian as well to block unwanted visitors during bittorrent sessions.

Actually, for software firewalls, Comodo beats out almost all (if not all... last time I saw a chart of consumer firewalls, it was the leader) paid firewalls as well. Free is just a bonus.
