What is it? Sounds like a Lenovo Thinkpad. Those are some good machines.
As far as the specs, only thing I see wrong is that it has a integrated graphics chip, but most laptops do. Maybe you could get it with a real card in it... idk, if the price is right, I wouldn't complain.
And you do realize you'll have to put an OS on it yourself, right?
Unless you want to use DOS.
thanks to Silverwmoon!
yup it is a Lenovo Thinkpad and i am getting it at 50% of its price
and i dont need much to work with the graphics so the integrated card should be enough
OS dosent seem to to be a big problem
Too big. That notebook is too heavy in my opnion.
Hrmm... so can I use my 17" WS laptop as an excuse for my decisive lack of trips to the gym then, Jyuu? XD
They do get heavy though... guess you can go to the electronics store and see if they'll let you pick one up.
thanks to Silverwmoon!
If you're thinking about possibly upgrading the memory in the future, try to get the 1gb memory on a single stick instead of two sticks. That way, you'll leave an open slot for the future. I assume it has 2 memory slot.
Haven't been here for a while now.. stupid internet wasn't working for whatever lousy reason my landlord had to offer to justify it...
It seems that Lenovo's are great if you plan to use it for long (like.. really long). And considering you got it at half price and you need it, I guess it's worthwhile. If, however, you don't really need it then, it's pretty much a waste.. coz you can't do a lot of things at those specs anyway.
Office apps will run fine, and since it's using integrated graphics, as Vol~ said, don't get your hopes up on new games - but you can expect longer battery life. This is pretty much your average office laptop.. for doing work on the move.
So yeah, imo, it's pretty much on your main purpose of getting the laptop...
