Need Help With Data Transfer From Computer To DVD-R?
I am trying to send anime onto my DVD-R, but everytime I do, something pops up and says, "Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file. What do you want Windows to do?" Under that it tells me the file name, type, duration, bit rate, dimensions, and size. Just so you know, I'm sending this as data so i could put it on disc and my friend could watch it on his computer. I'm not trying to make it run on a home dvd player because it takes too long.
... sounds like a typical windows handle error. Try moving that file... in fact, move all the files you want to a 'Burn' directory. Try it then. Also make sure that your not going over the 4.4 gig limit.
Another thing you might do is download ImgBurn and use the Iso creation mode to virtually burn the disk, creating an image file (a data representation of the structure of a DVD disk) that you can then burn to a DVD-R using the same program in ISO write mode. You won't waist a disk this way.
thanks to Silverwmoon!
You also can test that the .iso image is good by mounting it with Daemon Tools. It allows you to mount a virtual drive to an unused drive letter (ex. F:\, G:\, or anything else besides C:\).
UltraISO is good if you want to modify the existing .iso image without creating a new one from scratch.
