Default Question about memory I have never before pondered...

I purchased this for my computer:

Recently, I have decided to add more memory, for Vista, and was thinking about this:

However, I have always added memory of the same model, I have never bothered to check whether or not you actually can. Soooo, can I use two different sets of memory sticks of different models, or do they have to be of the same models(dumb question, but necessary).

Yeah, I know it is a noobish question, but, ehhh, what is the answer? I am guessing I have to use the same model...

Yeah, but note that it won't run in dual-channel and that your overclocking might be different due to the fact that the Dominators run at a higher voltage.

Oh damn, I'm having a total brain rape here. Why does the dual-channel die? Shouldn't there be two separate sets so that as long as he pairs them right on the board it works?

Or is it the timings not being exactly the same on every slot...?

There's more to timings than the ones printed on the sticks. There's like a dozen hidden ones.

Ahhh... alright, I was thinking it had to do with timings, but I remember something about matching slots on my friends board... then again that board was shit and we never did get it working exactly right.

Also, that link seems slightly dead, Jakko.
