Splinter Cell/Pandora Tomorrow running too fast on laptop
I'm going away for a bit, and I'm taking my old laptop with me...
So I thought I'll install some games, here are the specs,
Dell Inspiron 6000
P M 1.8
1 GB RAM
Radeon X300 (Yeah, it sucks, but I'm not trying to run Oblivion here)
Anyway, I was testing some games, and when I run Splinter Cell and its sequel, Pandora Tomorrow, the games runs too fast, I don't know why this is, because I remember running these games before on this laptop before and it runs fine (about a year ago). I haven't tried any other Unreal Engine 2 games.
Haven't updated anything, but I have now, hoping it would sort itself out, I've installed the latest Catalyst Mobility along with ATI Tray Tools, and it still does it, it's like the games on turbo mode or something, I've also installed the latest patches for the games.
I of course wiped the drivers clean with Driver Cleaner before installing the new ones, and deleted everything with ATI Tray Tools before installing the new version, tried changing the V-Sync settings, still nothing.
This has me baffled, so any suggestions?
