    Default New keyboard.

I'm hunting for a new keyboard. The G15 is now too common and I would like to have a new uncommon keyboard.
I've been looking at two of them:
    Microsoft Ultimate Keyboard
    Logitech diNovo Edge

    Any thoughts?

Having helped inspire you to take this decision I have to say The diNovo Edge does look very nice but strikes me as being more for audio/visual pc use rather than gaming, I do enjoy a good pc game myself which was why I got the G15 a year ago when I built my current pc.

I don't play games a lot. Maybe just five hours per week at most. I got the G15 for its backlighting, which is better than the Saitek Eclipse's glowish lighting.

    Edit:
I wish the Optimus 103 could get released earlier.

My thoughts, get neither, the G15 is cool, just stick with that. Nothing says "I have no friends" more than spending $199 on a keyboard when you can get a damn good one for under $100 (which is still a lot for a keyboard) that does mostly the same job.

    Here's mine:
    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...CONTENTID=9530
Except mine is corded and doesn't have the mouse. It has the media buttons which are really handy (even though I only use three of them). It does almost everything I want it to do (although I would like it if it allowed me to change tracks in media player), you can pick one up for about £11 these days.

Seriously, just save your money, spend it on something that is worth getting, something that is actually useful. Hell if I had that kinda money to spend on a computer, I'd go out and find the biggest and best hardisk I could afford (I'm always running out of space), either that or new memory (I only have a Gig of crappy memory).

I have 2GB PC2-8500, 4GB PC2-8888, five 750GB hard drives, four 500GB hard drives, six 320GB ones and two 150GB Raptor X in RAID. If I deem that I have enough money to waste on a keyboard, I'll do it. >.>

Some people like cars and buy Ferraris and others like me appreciate nice keyboards.

umm... what do you want out of the keyboard?

Personally I always thought KeyTronic keyboards were fantastic to type on, but I think they may make 1 model that has hotkeys on it. They're business/professional keyboards mostly. There is one that's really nice looking... (searching)... ah, this one.

Like I said, nothing fancy, but it's guaranteed and, if I remember right, they have trays in them in case of the late night coffee spill. Gives you an extra minute to unplug it. XD

And no... none of them come with that Ban Button of yours... you'll have to add it. Sorry.
    Vol~

    thanks to Silverwmoon!

If you want a unique keyboard, you could always go retro, like this:

I guarantee you will be the only one(outside North Korea and Zimbabwe) using it.

The Dinovo looks funky, I usually try the keyboard myself before buying it, I like to feel the tactile feedback, like my apple keyboard, smooth tactile, soft texture and it's apple I got it for $15 (with shipping and all).

Or, you could go for an amazing keyboard like this:
    http://www.lueckdatasystems.com/Nehemiah/00000042.html

It's got the "L" shaped enter key! And works with Windows 3.1! And 95!

    Only $189!
    And $20 2 year warranty.
    And $13 shipping.
    And a $20 dust cover.
    What a deal!
