Well you need to know that Matroska is just a container. The video and audio are in it. You can choose which streams to process into another container like avi and encode that into one that the iPod recognizes (like h.264 in m4v).

    look up MKVToolNix and MKVextractGui.

Those will probably be your best bets for extracting the streams. after that, you'll probably have to do some re-encoding, as MKV is used to put audio/video/subtitle streams in that most other containers (like the obsolete AVI... that's right, I said it) just can't handle.

For Code Geass, if you have GG's encodes, be aware that the subtitles are soft subs, which means they are not hard-encoded into the video... another pit fall you'll probably have to overcome as (as far as I remember) very few containers can handle soft subs, and I doubt iPods have the necessary codecs and tools for the subtitles anyway. You might be encoding the subtitles into the video then. VirtualDubMod (with a subtitle plugin) does this pretty well. Can't remember the plugin name though.

Head over to Videohelp.com and do some research. Fair warning... I doubt this will be easy. XD

    okidoki. Good luck to ya.

Oh, and I don't know shit about the iPod video... but if they don't give you a video converter, might be easier to work backwards by finding a converter and then figgureing out how to make the MKV into something that can be converted... although keep in mind that every encode reduces the quality somewhat. Not that you should notice THAT much on such a small screen.

I've shoved Kanon in it, and it looks good enough ^_^

I'm trying to put it in avi, and converting it to mp4 or somethign with the videora converter for ipod, which works pretty well.

Ah So far its been crash and burn. Spent a day trying to use the programs *Not Fun* and kinda got the hang of it. (Hopefully)

    Of course you can.

Just look up what containers and codecs PSP can handle, and then either find a converter like FireDragon did (probably your best bet since PSP has a wide screen display and such) and then change the videos into a format this converter can take and make PSP compatable, or re-encode the video and audio yourself into compatable formats and put them in a PSP compatable container.
