    Default Nero 7 Premium Photosnap

For some retarded reason, this used to be able to view JPEG, PNG, and all the other conventional picture formats, but it does not anymore.

This occurred after my computer crashed (while I was using it) so something may have fucked up, but I have no clue what. A solution I found on the web was to disable image drivers which did not solve the problem, any help would be appreciated.

I do not want to reinstall this piece of crap, I'll just go back to the Windows default one if I have to.

    I didn't even install that... I have a picture viewer I like.
Regardless, it shouldn't be screwed up. You can screw around all day long, but the easiest thing to do is to make nero fix itself. To do this, go to the start menu, go to programs, go to nero 7, then go to product update. From there you can choose to repair what's already there and it will install key files over the top of the ones that may or may not be corrupted. If that doesn't work, you need to reinstall.

Nero 7... ahh what a piece of shit. STICK WITH 6 PEOPLE!!!

Good suggestion, I didn't know that Nero had this feature. Unfortunately, this did not solve my problem, oh well.

What picture viewer do you use? Is it better than the default Windows one?

Well, I use Image Eye... it's not the best, but it's got a few things over windows. Actually, it has a nice fullscreen and is keyboard controlable. I really only use it because I couldn't figgure out XP's viewer's controls, and it's the same one I use on Win2K. Keeping consistant is all.

Nero 7 I have been using since 7.0.1 or something around there. It's been a pain in my ass ever sense I installed it. The only thing that worked worth a shit out of the box has been the engine. More or less because it was ripped straight out of 6.6. The other programs worked some of the time. The updater never did work untill one or two versions before it hit 7.5, and they made it so the decoder for h264 (which at the time was better than the free codecs) only worked in their Showtime application (which hasn't changed far as I know). The program changed all of my icons and default applications on install to Nero shit, even though I told it not to. It continued to do this on almost every update, and I had to manualy go in and change each and every association and icon by hand with a utility I found on the internet, because windows explorer COULD NOT DO IT AT THAT POINT!

At 7.5 (Ultamate) it's finally getting decent. The updater works, it's not crashing or changing my icons anymore... however I won't install half of the package as I'm not risking it. There is more or less nothing I need them for. I use ROM, Recode, Vision, Trax, Wave Editor, CoverDesigner, and the tools... that's all I touch on it. Everything else I leave off. I don't trust it. After this shit... I'll never buy another Nero Product again.

    You brought your Nero? 0_o

Anyways, thanks for the help. I found out in a forum that Nero 7.0 is buggy and it is just gay like that. I can only fix it by reinstalling it, but I'm too lazy/do not care enough.

... yes, I bought nero 7. I bought 6.6 as well. That version was amazing, so I got 7. It only cost 10~20 dollars after rebates. So what the hell...

    Wish I didn't.

It would not be surprising back then, but nowadays you can (illegally) download everything for free.

    you said it : illegally

you can also go out and steal everything you need :s
i'm not saying i never download illegal things, but you should at least not downplay people who have the honnesty to buy things they use because they recognize good work has been put into it...
