I seem to remember what your talking about SD, but I'll be damned if I can find it. Was it only for images? I can't remember.

And yeah... you can add ram to a laptop no problem. Just a little different procedure. They probably told you that you could not because all the slots are taken up. Just drop that 256 chip out for a gig chip and you're in business. It should be a compartment somewhere around the middle of the bottom of the laptop. Might void the warranty if you open it though.

    EDIT:
Performed the quick and dirty *update* to Gcache and Wayback. They work just fine. Fasterfox also responded well to this temporary fix (although I admit, I didn't do that one myself). Reveal... not so much.

So if anyone needs Gcache or Wayback extentions, let me know and I'll upload them someplace. Should hold you over till the author gets around to updating.

hmm I upgraded my dell laptop ram and Hard drive and it will not void the warranty if it done profesionally (I read the terms and conditions), and since I'm working as administrator assistant at my univ, I'm considered as professional hehe. I think Best buy or Comp USA might do it for free, but you have to buy the memory from their store and it costs twice/thrice of online store price.

but either way they (Dell) prolly wouldn't know/care if you upgrade it yourself as long as you don't damage your dell in the process of upgrading or as long as the new hardware don't create problem/damage your dell.

Steal, for your dell Laptop, the memory compartment should be located on the bottom of the laptop. So flip your laptop and open one of the compartment, you should look for this chip http://www.used-laptops-notebooks-gu...-upgrade-2.jpg
and here's the link to get into the details

    http://www.used-laptops-notebooks-gu...ade-guide.html

EDIT: just becareful when dealing with memory, they are sensitive and fragile, make sure you don't have any liquid or any grease on your finger.

oh I'll install firefox 2.0 on my spare compt, and see if I like it.

I don't like the new Firefox much... the new tab system feels clunky (i preferred 1.5 w/ tab mix plus) And it has crashed twice... on a mac... which is insane...

I don't know if this feature is from Firefox 2.0, but I tried ff 2.0 and when I was replying to a pm, suddenly there was a red line under an incorrect spelled word, so I right clicked on it and voila! It showed the correct spelling (just like word), funnily they mark voila and suggest viola or voile, but I still think Google spell checker is better.

EDIT: oh I love the resume session feature.

yes, there are dictionnaries embedded into ff 2, but it is really annoying as i didn't find a way to merge several dictionnaries into one
(i alternately write into french or english, so as i don't bother changing the current dictionnary each time, i have plenty of words underlines as false even though they are correct )

lol. That's the 'inline spell check' feature. I listed it. XD

For shits and giggles, I downloaded the Canadian dictionary (eh is now a word!... no, I'm just joking), and your absolutely right Shautieh. That blows... did a little looking, and you might want to give this extension a try. Seems like it trys to somewhat address the issue you have.
