For those of you who are waiting for the betas to go the Fsck away, wait no longer. IE 7 was released as of Monday afternoon, and really took notice when developers started talking about it in their blogs Wednesday (yeah, yeah, I know I'm behind).
New features include enhanced security (and it's allready been patched), tabbed web browsing (which is stupid and will never catch on... *cough*), enhanced printing features (uhh... kay... and yes I do have a smartass reply for just about everything), RSS Feeds (because we told them they would be shot if they tried to create their own 'feed' format this time), a search box (clap fucking clap), Active-X Opt in (all active X stuff is off by default... I'd give them points for this, but they created active-x in the first place... but I'll be downloading it for this reason... got to have it for win update), a no add-ons mode (who want's to bet me this doesn't include disabling the Windows Genuine Advantage Add-on? Come on... who want's to bet me... anyone?) for troubleshooting, and many new compatibility fixes (like Alpha layer for PNG format pictures, so now transparency will render correctly... which was supposed to be fixed back when 98 came out or some shit... REJOICE ARKIE! DANCE ARKIE DANCE!).
If your running Vista, you also get parental controls (NO PR0N FOR YOU!) and Isolation Mode (anything that does get through, although not supposed to, supposedly can't get to anywhere but temp internet folder, as IE7 will not interact with any other program on the system... has M$ descovered program permissions?).
Ok, here you go. Have fun kiddies.
If I lose all my ultra-paranoid settings because of this fucker, I'm going to be pissed... *grumble*
How about some thoughs or first impressions? I'm curious.
