Do you know what to do when your Microsoft Word suddenly doesn't work well and it always type something else by itself when you type? For example like when I typed act, it typed up into some weird number and word like fajfjajfjajhkj or something like that.........can you guys help me please, because if this continue, I can't even type my work for school or any other work at all....pretty please..........
hahaha, seems like a macro virus. Assuming it is, try deleting this file:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dot
You must delete this file when word is not running. After deleting the file, try running word again. Type whatever you want just for the sake of testing. If that still doesn't work, run a virus scan, and make sure it also checks for macro viruses.
Good luck :P
Thank you, let me try it and see if it works....then I will tell you ^_^
I love those virii... they just fuck with people.
May want to run a virus scan too (and probably an online one like McAfee after that just to be sure). If one got by into word, chances are you got another.
ok, I some how manage to get it but now some of the button doesn't work, like the " ' : ; ? / Yeah, that's the three that doesn't work, do you think it's broken or something?
check the keyboard settings. Might be set to US International or something (in which you have to double tap the keys for them to work... at least that's how it runs in Linux).
But what does it has to do with the US Interanational? And another thing, when you mention that I have to double tap the keys, do you mean I have to press the key two times while I am setting the Keyboard setting or I can just press it at any time?
No, I mean you have to press the key twice to get your character. So to make a ' you need to press the key twice. Pressing it one and then a letter makes you call a special character. For example, pressing ' and e makes the é character.
well, if thats the case then, it really doesnt work at all, however, thanks for the advise though ^_^
Keyboards from different regions have different layouts.

Its a great mind fuck to go into settings and change the keyboard.
In school, visual studio used to be set to use the US keyboard layout (which is the default for all microsoft apps IIRC), however I live in the UK and use a British keyboard. Soooooo many VB programes and access databases were fucked up because of that. lol
