So I heard you can add AIM users too with MSN messenger, what's the trick if it's really true ?

    Thanks.

Never heard of that, but sounds interesting, if you figure it out, let me know and I can get rid of my AIM.

yes you can add any user with email other than msn or hotmail using msn messenger as long as they are registered with msn passport/msn messenger.

I do that all the time,
my friend also using msn messenger with @lycos email.

Trillian is good too, but most of my friends use msn messenger so there is no need to use trillian.

Miranda IM is really good if you want just a straight text messenger. No smilies, no pics, no videos... just text. Free for windows.

My favorite is Gaim though. Runs a hell of a lot of protocols, and still does a lot of the heavier stuff of the IM clients. No video or instant sound yet though. Too bad.
Good on windows, but a madman on Linux.

msn messenger and yahoo messenger are allowing msn users to IM ppl with yahoo accounts and vice versa. i think yahoo 8.0 beta... i think the newest version of windows live messenger for msn. i haven't tried it though. you can only send text though. no smilies, winks, files, ect. yet.
