um Sapphire is an ATI brand and lets not start ATI v GeForce here there is enough hostility as it is... and i have a Sapphire 9800 pro with 128mb ram which set me back $135 so it aint to costly and is a damm good card!
Go for nvidia cards. I'd reccomend a high-end 128MB card like a GeForce FX 5900. Don't bother considering the low-end cards, such as the GeForce FX 5200 since a high-end 64MB card would be better in that case.
As for the manufacturer, try getting one made by ASUS or Sapphire. Add a Zalman cooler to it to increase performance.
Many people now the truth but few people understand it!
