Default What's so good about Bittorrent

I recently got bittorrent but I don't see the advantage. It's slower than direct download. What are its advantages???

True, but you can never know everything right?

Anyways I think you should read up on how the Bittorrent protocol works at
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent
    and
    http://www.bittorrent.org/protocol.html

You should know that if you configure it in the best way for your computer it could be up to three times faster then the direct download.

lol XD it's not false btw, it "could".... but i don't know a torrent that could make you download at 20MB/s (if your connection can), which is possible via ddl the problem of course is that professional servers for ddl are far from being FREE

torrents > direct download, for the simple fact that you can find alot of rare stuff more easily and if u configure it well enough you can get high download speeds (ie i was downloading 16.5 gb of the whole hajime no ippo series in at least 2 days at 300 kb/s). another reason would be it doesnt die like some direct download links do and you can pause it restart it and even stop and keep downloading the next day.

also, most ddl's are by file, and only bittorrent has compilations of series. That's probably the biggest thing for me. Less of my time to worry about it.
