Suzuka by Funimation

I checked out the first episode on Funimation's site, a few observations.

Overall I'd say it's a 7/10. Nothing to spectacular but it definately isn't terrible. Wonder Retard's voice is kind of whiney (which fits him), Suzuka's has a maturity to it (which fits her), and Miho, Ayano, Saotome, and Megumi's voices aren't too bad overall, well at least they don't make me want to jab something into my ear.

2 gripes though.

First is how they have Yamato pronounced. They say it like Yama-to. While it might be right, it just bugs the fuck out of me. After all, everytime I've heard that name it's been pronounced Ya-mat-o. I don't know how to describe it, you'll just have to hear it.

Second is the drunk ranting. It just isn't good. The VA's are trying to hard to sound drunk. It just didn't work for me. Though it might be the lines, but whatever that part annoyed me.

you turned me emo, all japanimation should be subbed, not dubbed. this isn't a show for kids who can't read anyway

yep..plus dubbed anime makes it looks no good,at least thats wat i think.

Yea I agree w/ u guys I always prefer subbed over dubbed in any anime and Yamato's voice was sorta good but not good enough.

Ditto.To me none of the voices fit....

Man even the dubbed voices in my country is better than the American version but nothing still beats the Japanese version....

Those voices give me the creeps. The American voices make it look like the characters are all retards, not just Yamato. The feeling is all wrong. No way I'll be able to watch it, better stick with the good old subbed version.

I actually think that the dub isn't that bad. Yamato's voice feels a bit off. Suzuka's voice isn't that bad. Yamato's friend voice fits. I like the dub it isn't that bad.

the guy voices arent bad but the women meh..could be alot better

Ah, this means that if there will be more Suzuka Anime, [Lunar] probably won't sub it
