^She was just another filler girl like Yui and Honoka at this point. Its sad that these girls were introduced just to get dumped.

yeah she was a good filler girl I guess, better than most. I personally like her more than suzuka, she doesn't have all those problems just an easier person to get along with but that is a big part of what a filler girl is all about. they are supose to either be hated or really well liked.

but where is the hated filler girl in this story I wonder there isn't a clear one is there.

Default yamato x suzuka forever XD

i prefer hard-to-get girls just like suzuka. XD

i was rooting for them straight all the way!

for me, yui and honoka acted on how they see best and there's nothing wrong with that. as hattori also said, "there's nothing wrong or a fault in a relationship, outsiders (us, in this time) should just watch." XD

i really love reading this manga and the characters really develop. XD
suzuka and yamato became more honest and clear with their feelings after being apart and i really liked that development XD

well I wonder if they really have been honest with each other. I doub't that suzuka wants to have a kid and give up high jump. it could end up being for the rest of her life, so i have trouble thinking that she is really being that honest and true to her own feelings. or maybe its becasue the end is near and he couldn't think of a better way to handle this situation.

An abortion would take to many chaps to go through there changing relationship I guess.

well, it was very much an unexpected situation that their "encounter" bears a fruit lol. suzuka and yamato both consented to go forward to the next level with their relationship and it's pretty much not an easy thing to decide on so i think they really were honest to their feelings on that night never expecting things to turn out as they are now.

of course suzuka will really like to continue high jump as she is i think the nation's number 1 currently. the decision to keep the child was very hard to decide on but she did make it clear and tell yamato that she wants to have the baby as she followed her true feelings while disregarding other factors like being a professional athlete and all.

which now brings me to the point to conclude that their love for each other (suzuka x yamato) proves to be very strong indeed as they both sacrificed everything specially their potential future as professional athletes. they disregarded everything else and became honest with their feelings and by never losing sight of what is the most important thing - keeping that which is the fruit of their love - their first baby. they both want to raise their child and do everything to make their child happy just like what mr. asahina is doing for his daughters, suzune and suzuka.

well, that's how i view it. XD

wow aren't you the eternal optimist now.

I guess a happy ending like this is ok with you, well for me I do not buy it for a second that she is happy there is no way she loves him that much you mean to tell me that those two years just made them fall more in love. I do not buy if a person devots most of there life to something that they can give it up and just forget about it and move on. there is no way that a person who has worked everyday for years would give up on that dream, that would only casue you sadness and heartake in the end. she would just end up resenting him for being the casue for her lost dreams if she doesn't ever get back to her current form.

so from my point of view all this will cause is a life of sadness that will allways follow her around. of course he loves her more than anything so he will be happy to have her as his wife and have a kid with her. especially since track never meant as much to hm as she did.

this is how the pesimistic me sees it

Default just basing it on the manga

well, i was just basing my opinion on what the characters really said and/or done in the manga. i wasn't being optimistic on them loving each other and living a happy ending. the characters themselves said and decided on that XD.

of course there is regret to what they have lost (being professional athletes) but didn't suzuka herself also thought of the situation thoroughly too after considering what sacrifices yamato also considered to come up with his decision (to keep the baby). and thus she zoned it down to what she really feels and feels like doing - keeping their firstborn.

and as for me, i still feel that something tragic may happen like suzuka dying after giving birth to their child. (a previous post of mine). although it may make the manga a pathetic one if ever it happens, i still feel that there is a chance for this XD.

the mangaka used the "safe child delivery charm" to act as a foreshadowing of the current pregnant suzuka. but still, there is the fact that someone died in the series - kazuki plus the title of the manga, "suzuka" (why is it suzuka? maybe there is a deeper meaning to this aside from suzuka being the heroine) and the subtle meaning behind the "safe child delivery charm" (so that no accidents may happen during the child birth-giving process). it may seem farfetched but it is still a possibility. XD

If you would base on everything characters say... If you would really devote some time and mind to it. Then you'd come to a different outcome... Track is as important to Yamato as Suzuka? Thats bullshit, to begin with Yamato only joined track to be closer to Suzuka, he only wanted to acchieve something in it to: 1st become a better person in Suzuka's eyes; 2nd being on the same "level" as Suzuka. They decided on it? Bullshit again! Since for Yamato Suzuka was high priority, he selfishly pushed his point of view on her and so, under such a pressure, she had no choise, but to accept it, even though for her Yamato was always on the 2nd place after Track and Field. I guess that is undoubtful since she went to a track n'field in america for a year. Which she wouldn't have done if Yamato was her high priority.
If you recall, Suzuka said her point of view first... She wanted an abortion. And now, in the end... Suzuka wants Yamato to continue with track and field. Why, you ask? Because she believes that Yamato likes track as much as she does. Because she has sacrificed her future, but being a kind person, she doesn't want the same to happen to Yamato ( thu she doesn't realise that even if he continues track and field, with kid and full-time job it is completely impossible to keep up with the training).
