She goes on about it ending up the same way and he persists. She then says "Please understand, let's be friends", Yamato starts to think to himself it's useless and it's probably better to be friends, and chapter ends with him hugging her from behind.

He was so confident about leaving her alone yet he pesterized her about such trivial thing. If he would use brain he could think out that she doesnt have anyone and if he really want to make out with her he should make small steps in future not one fucin stupid high jump to get into her heart ...

There's a certain point to let's just be friends that is bad. The way it seems she does like him, hence she doesn't want to start hating him. She's looking toward the future and the relationships she wants with her friends than what she might want in the present. Looks like the ending won't come for a while though. Probably going to go through college, maybe show a month or so per chapter, at least a few weeks.

At least, this is better than she having a boyfriend.

What so we could see Yamato at Suzuka's throat for no reason other than I like you and don't want you to go out with other guys. It'd be repeating from when she was still hooked on her dead boyfriend. At least now there is a chance that they could develop a better friendship than what they had before when Suzuka was at his throat for being irresponsible, lazy, etc... Now she is nice to him and isn't as critical of every move. Yamato just needs to look past his affection and not act like a retard around her.
