Good god. Lesson learned: Never argue with someone that thinks wikipedia is a good source of information.

Default Suzuka and Ichigo 100% are on the same track but....

Yes this is SUZUKA tread and it will be the story of SUZUKA and not Akitsuki. That why in the 1st place i already said that this story just grew around the main and that is the hero and heroin. The one that will be chose by Akitsuki is a different matter. Even the story is a 1st person view of the hero but it is still a SUZUKA manga. So likewise, in Ichigo 100% it is stated that the story is about love story and strawberry(strawberry panties that is). So it have a huge different and in the end the major role will met, the main character and NOT the side/co character.

So in the end no matter who akitsuki pick, it is still about SUZUKA and it will always be SUZUKA.

~The river is so long but small. It is blue and fresh but in the end the flow will continue until it goes to the sea. The small will never always be smal but the huge and big will always and remain like that~

What i trying to say is, you can enlarge the river but you cant enlarge the sea. The fact is a fact. A small fact have possiblities to be big but the fact that we can see on our own is fixed and we cant do anything to change it.

Well said. It's quite clear that zikor has already had his mind set on a thought, hence is unable to open-up on other possibilities. Arguments are clearly made from facts, and are thus supported by evidences.

I'd have to go with d.A. on this, not everything is on wikipedia. If you want another evidence of wheter Nishino is a Main Character or not, you have 17 volumes wherein in each intro pages there is a story summary and a brief cap of the characters so far and we always(except for some 2 volumes, i think) have Nishino Tsukasa(in BIG picture as well not like Mukai and oher suporting characters) introduced along with the other characters. We also have Manaka choosing between " The girl with the same dreams as his(Toujou)" and "The girl who had the face to launch a thousand ships(Nishino)". I don't get how you could deny the fact that Nishino is a main character even after all of that. Have you really read the manga? Or is just basing things on the anime(I do hope you read the whole manga, 'coz the anime was a cheap attempt to make Ichigo's character come to life. The anime doesn't even come close to the manga in terms of art and story.)?

And as for the long-shot pairing(zikor's Toujou x Manaka not happening, hence the Suzuka x Yamato pairing possible failing), do remember that the manga is entitled Suzuka, thus gives a huge, almost insurmountable hint that the main guy would fall for the girl named Suzuka and that the only question is HOW. Where in contrast Ichigo 100% is about "A girl in strawberry panties". In the series almost all the girls had a chance to wear strawberry panties(execpt for Mizusu, I think she had a cute bear panty ^^), thus it was a real question as to who will Manaka end-up with.

**My god, I left this argument at page 7 and didn't really think it would eat up this much space. Took me about 30 minutes to read all the posts. Well, it would have taken longer, if I hadn't given up and just took note of the important facts. I could have quoted some of the highlights, but alas, there were too many to quote. So I just gave my piece of mind within this chunk of post. **

@d.A.: Eh? You typed in Tagalog just a few pages back. You're Filipino as well?

No I am not, but I'm not letting three years of high school tagalog go to waste.

The one thing I want to emphasize out of this whole thread is how Yamato has failed to change at all despite the numerous life changing experiences he already has gone through. It points to an ending where Suzuka is the one to drastically change and not Yamato. Yamato has some accomplishments and doesn't have a defining weakness that prevents him from accomplishing his goals like Manaka's indecisiveness from Ichigo 100% or Seto's defensive attitude in I"s. He fits the stereotypical wuss of a male lead but he lacks that defining weakness. He would be okay without a major change. Not great but just enough to get by without a major personality remodeling. At the very least he wouldn't be the one initiating the change, Suzuka will.

I doubt the mangaka had his story planned anywhere near this far ahead when he gave it the title 'Suzuka' (furthest I could see him having planned was the part Suzuka takes Yamato to her dead boyfriends grave)

he might still feel compelled to pair yamato/suzuka up, but it's not a foregone conclusion anymore (imo)

@d.A:Now that you mention it, it does seem like Yamato's current state of personality is generally acceptable as it is. Its far from being perfect, but as far as I see it, it works for him. We've seen how determined he can be when he really wants something (like his first, second and third Suzuka confession), unlike Manaka Junpei who only had guts to go for what he wanted sometime during the end of the manga. So yeah, if there is going to be a change, it'll definitely come from Suzuka. We probably won't see Suzuka coming after Yamato anytime soon, but hey, it could be a part of her change. ^^

p.s. : dibs on you for not letting it go to waste. Though I don't quite get it, you not a Filipino but had Tagalog during highschool? o.o?

@rectracnosna: I would truly hope to see another pairing other than the given Suzuka x Yamato. But the title leaves little to no leverage for that to happen.

I just cant understand this long debate comparing Ichigo 100% and Suzuka. These two are done by different mangakas. Thereby, why should the ending should be the same? i dont see the similarity in the story either except the fact that lot of girls love the male lead. It would be better if you stop confusing us more than the suzuka mangaka by ichigo 100% comparisons. Discussions where you compare cross over and suzuka or wat yamato is gonna acheive when he is in college or the most interesting would be will the mangaka spring a surprise on us with a suzuka/arima relationship? i hope it doesnt happen but arima goin to america to the same program gives me bad vibes.

one question from me yamato came 3rd in the inter highs. Is interhigh like the nationals? the system in japan is a bit confusin for me. Anyone care to explain?.

Hmm, if you guys think i was rude cut me some slack as i read your long posts whether they had some meaning or not!!
