Meh, next chapter would probably dwelve on the probability of rekindling the light of romance between Saki and Yamato that has long blown off. Should be interesting enough. Although we should see Yamato squirming around like the jerk that he is while pondering using all the testosterone he has left on who he should wants to get laid with.
Wow.. Seo must be out of ideas because Saki seems like another prototype of Suzuka, like Yui. The fact that Seo is presenting yet another new character this late into the manga suggests 3 possibilities:
1)Seo is completely out of ideas and is just extending his manga chapter by chapter.
2) Seo plans to write many more chapters of Suzuka, with the end of the series nowhere in sight.
3) Seo has gone retarded.
You missed another option: Seo's editor is threatening to burn all his relatives unless he releases more chapters.
I go for your 3rd option though. Unless of course, Seo can soundly justify Saki's significance this late in the manga.

It'll probably be a drunk homeless Japanese person hitting him in the head with a half-emptied bottle of sake. And as to where Seo got the idea for the manga, I'd say it came from the same drunk homeless Japanese person before he became drunk and homeless.
