I'm talking about Yamato of course.
Personally I think he is a pretty strong main character that doesn't have such a perverted mind like in Ichigo 100%. Although he is a dumbass at times I truly think he is pretty good.
What do you guys think?

Oh your right it is opposite day.
...just kidding.
But yeah, I completely disagree with the word "strong." Yamato's character hardly has any depth and his personality is uneventful and unrealistic. As I have pointed out in other threads, him forgetting Suzuka's birthday and his impromptu / spur of the moment dialogue are good examples of the lack of depth.
Manaka isn't a "strong" one either but if you compare the two I would consider them even.
Manaka who takes that long to choose a girl vs. Yamato is willing to commit to a girl throughout the manga. Advantage Yamato.
Manaka who knew what he wanted to do with his life, sure he argueably needed help from Tojo's story but he had a clue vs. Yamato who is as clueless as professional javelin catchers. Advantage Manaka.
Those two points are some of the main differences between the two characters. Alot of their other "characteristics" are practically interchangeable...considering that they are pretty even.
Still better than Keitaro though.
He has teh gay.
All jokes aside, he's a failure. He needs to die.
Let us pray to the great gods of manga to summon...teh Mitsuko. So as to add the mandatory sex scene to teh manga. Or kill him. Or both simutaneously.

Sounds good. Mitsuko would make an awesome character addition.Originally Posted by be0wulf

Basic shonen romance series. Same old conventions from Ichigo, Suzuka, etc.
Except the main character is a serial killer, which we don't find out until about halfway through. Naturally, he kills the girl he falls for.
That would be tragic.
I like it.

Promoted as a family film, reviewers somehow convinced to review it as if it were a family film, etc. MPAA would have to be either bought off or convinced to temporarily play along.
The catch? Halfway through, it becomes a slasher flick, and each character dies painfully.
I had the idea while watching The Princess Diaries 2, which my little sister had dragged me to.
A pity it's impossible, as the MPAA couldn't be worked around.
just a faggot dumbass

As for cooler's idea, I gave 120% of my special thumbs up.
Yamato is just a stereotypical character for this type of manga. Weak lacking conviction about his own life, but inherently a good honest guy at heart.
(just mentioned in predictions thread as it pop into my head)
Suzuka (though at the moment i don't think as well explained as could be) is a rarer type appearing cold to most people trying to live upto everyones expectations of her (not sure if she should lose some of this in the states). She is more mature than most of the characters and has a goal. The coldness though appears to be a defense mechanism for someone who actually fairly kind and sensitive at heart.
She reminds in many ways of Madoka (KOR) (including dead ex and trying to do the right thing in her view)). I prefer Madoka probably becuase she is better developed as character and more time is given to her warmhearted side.
